Script Series

The pieces in my Script series all use symbols and lettering from languages that do not use the familiar, western roman script. Although individual pieces may contain script that translates into a recognizable phrase or contain some symbolic meaning, the intent is to use the script as abstract patterns. The meaning of the text is not intended to be the dominant aspect of the piece (i.e. the piece is not meant to be read).

The languages applied may be actively used (e.g. Hebrew) or a fictitious construction (e.g. Klingon).

    Dear Mr. Irwin,

I must compliment you on the original creations you have come up with! I happened upon your website by chance, while looking for images of spinning dice and was wondering if I could possibly buy some of your spinning dice, since I’m an avid collector!

Keep up the fantastic job, I’ll definitely be visiting again :)

    fantastic work
have you ever thought about glass etching?
ideally blown glass but even found objects would be exquisite with your script
